Scholarships Offered by Beauty as a Business
Need a little extra assistance paying for school? Beauty as a Business is proud to be offering a scholarship designed specifically for beauty school students to cover tuition costs. We know how important social media is for a beauty professional, which is why our scholarship focuses on helping students develop those crucial soft skills while they’re still in school.
If you are a beauty school student, you could be eligible for a $1,500 scholarship, which we are offering to different students four times per year.
$1,500 Scholarship Available for New or Currently Enrolled Beauty School Students!
Start showcasing what you’ve learned in beauty school on social media to earn a scholarship toward tuition. We are offering a $1,500 scholarship to beauty school students who show they can effectively build their book of business online and use social media to do it!
How To Apply
You must submit three (3) photos of your artistic work on a mannequin, client, friend, or family member showcasing your creative abilities. Whether you’re a cosmetology student providing a beautiful new hairstyle, an esthetics student helping someone achieve beautiful skin with a relaxing facial, or a barber creating a close shave, you could be eligible for our scholarship!
These photos must be submitted on Instagram with a caption that details what positive impact you’ve seen social media have on the beauty industry, using the hashtag: #BAABScholarship.
You must also include one (1) 30-60 second video of yourself answering or discussing:
- How social media has impacted the beauty industry
- How you plan to utilize social media in your beauty career
We want to see how passionate you are about social media and some of your best looks! After all, more and more of your guests turn to social media to see if you offer what they’re looking for. Need inspiration? Consider purchasing Beauty as a Business yourself to see what social media marketing as a beauty or wellness professional is all about.
Scholarship Eligibility
Whether you’ve just started beauty school or have been accepted and are waiting for your class to start, it’s possible to apply for our scholarship. To be eligible for our scholarship, students:
- Must already be accepted or currently enrolled in an accredited barber, cosmetology, or esthetics program. Students must provide proof of acceptance and/or proof of attendance at an accredited beauty school.
- Must be 18 years or older at time of application.
- Must be located and enrolled in a school in the United States of America.
Chosen winners will be contacted and funds will be sent directly to the school they’re enrolled in to go toward tuition costs. We’ll reach out to potential winners through Instagram for required proof of enrollment at your school and then get in touch with your school!
If the entry contains any person(s) other than contestant, contestant must ensure that all such persons are eighteen (18) or older and receive prior written consent from each person. You may use this model consent and release form. Please email all completed release forms to info@beautyasabusiness.com at the time of your submission.
Winner Selection
Scholarship recipients will be selected from the pool of qualifying applicants by a panel of three judges consisting of Beauty as a Business representatives.
